Experimental farm in Yamagata
We began our experimental farm in Yamagata in 1996. The farm and its nearby village are our “hometown”. Half the land on the farm is for farming and the other half is kept as natural forest, which we call the “forest dam” because it retains water, releasing it slowly. We grow grains such as wheat, buckwheat, soy beans, pearl barley and red soy beans – all without artificial pesticides and fertilizers.
The Yamagata farm is part of our story.
